  • Fuel oil for marine users in diesel engines shall not exceed a density limit of 0.99.
  • Where a specialised use needs low-sulphur fuel oil, a lower limit may be agreed between buyer and supplier.
  • Conforms to BIS specification IS 1593-1982 for furnace oils, grade MV2. The export sulphur limit follows the tighter BPCL practice.

Limits are the specification the product is tested against.

Where it comes from

Blended from the residual fuel taken off vessels at the Alang ship-breaking yard, settled and filtered at Mamsa, tested against IS 1593-1982 for MV2 grade before it is loaded.

Used for

Boilers, furnaces and kilns in ceramics, textiles, chemicals and food processing; hot-mix plants; marine diesel engines where the sulphur limit allows.

Despatch
